Clitheroe Castle Trip
Mon 22 Apr 2024Bowland Class had an amazing day visiting Clitheroe Castle today! We made our own castles in the sand and made sure that they had the same features as traditional castles like a drawbridge. We also had lots of fun roleplaying as knights and ended our day with a story.

Yoga Workshop
Mon 22 Apr 2024Our KS2 classes enjoyed a very mindful morning in our Yoga Workshop. We spent some time practicing breathing techniques before learning some yoga poses. Some of us found it a little bit tricky but felt very calm and focused at the end of the workshop.

Lancashire Police Visit

Grizedale Viking Workshop
Sun 24 Mar 2024Grizedale Class had a fantastic time with Emma from Magic Door education. Our day was full of exciting new learning and extending things we already knew. We took part in an archaeological dig, tried on a Viking helmet and shield and became Viking traders.

Easter Bingo

North West Stages Rally Car Visit
Wed 13 Mar 2024The whole school were SO excited to have a visit from the North West Stages Rally who brought one of their rally cars and a recovery vehicle to school. Even in the rain, we all loved seeing the inside of both cars and hearing the super loud engine of the rally car!

Last Choir Singing
Wed 13 Mar 2024We are absolutely over the moon to have won our heat in the Last Choir Singing competition! We’re through to the final in June and cannot wait to show off our talent again. All of the children in choir were so brilliant and couldn't thank Mrs Pollitt enough for all of her hard work. Keep your fingers crossed for June!

Visit from Lancashire Fire and Rescue
Tue 12 Mar 2024We are SO grateful to Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service who came to visit us, and our friends from Bluebell Class at Calder Vale, with a fire engine this morning. We had such an exciting time exploring the fire engine and even having a go at using the hose!

Children's Worship Conference
Wed 28 Feb 2024Our Nicky Nook delegates had a brilliant time at the Children's Worship Conference today. As well as having a tasty lunch, they also learnt about how to deliver a great worship and completed lots of activities that they are looking forward to showing the rest of the school.
