All About Us
In Grizedale, we use our STAR thinking and learning powers of resilience, resourcefulness, reflectiveness and reciprocity to make our classroom a place that is full of learning, confidence and happiness.
Miss Taylor is our teacher on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mrs Taylor is our teacher on a Thursday and Friday.
Mrs Lund is with us every day as our teaching assistant.
Registration and Home Time
We will be using Bowland's outdoor area as the entrance to our classroom. The classroom door will be open from 8:45, children can come into the classroom from that time. At home time, please collect your child from the outdoor area. We will make sure the gate is open at 3:15.
Swimming and PE
We will be going swimming on a Wednesday. Children will need to bring a swimming kit to school with them consisting of: swimming costume / shorts, swimming hat and a towel. Goggles are optional but will require a permission slip from parents.
Our PE day this year is a Thursday. Please ensure children come to school in their PE Kit. PE kit is:
- A white t-shirt
- navy blue or black joggers, leggings or shorts
- Trainers
- School jumper
Please make sure that children have their hair tied back and earrings are removed for Swimming and PE. Children will not be able to take part in lessons if they have their earrings in. Staff are not allowed to remove earrings.
Class Dojo and Communication
We will be using Class Dojo for communication with parents and carers, setting home learning tasks and behaviour for learning. Please check Dojo weekly for any updates. Miss Taylor and Mrs Taylor are also available at registration and home time if you have any queries.
