Scorton Rose Queen Festival
The Scorton Rose Queen Festival takes place in May and is one of the most anticipated events in our village. Visiting Queens and their retinues join our Rose Queen to process through the village, accompanied by Pilling Brass Band, congregating at school where our Rose Queen is crowned. Our whole church school community work together to make this event so special. Following the crowning, there are refreshments and stalls and games to visit, run by our Scorton School Association, and everyone comes together to celebrate this special occasion. Our Rose Queen and her retinue are invited to take part in similar celebrations in Garstang, Dolphinholme, Churchtown, Forton and a number of other villages.
